Monday: Rookie of the Year Award and Manager of the Year Award
Tuesday: Goose Gosagge Award (reliever of the year) and Pitcher of the Year award
Wednesday: Most Valuable Player Award
So on ward to our first choices.
Rookie of the Year:
1) Jaime Garcia – Cardinals, Garcia has pitched phenominally for the Cardinals. He is currently 8-4 with a 2.17 ERA some of which can be called lucky as he sports a 3.29 FIP and a 3.76 xFIP with a .289 BABIP (which is pretty high for a ground ball kind of pitcher). However at this point in the season he is certainly having the best rookie campiagn it will be worth following to see how many innings the Cardinals let him pitch this season especailly in a playoff hunt. Garcia has been tops of all rookies but it should be an interesting race come October as we see if the later call ups acn catch up and if the front runners can keep it going.
2) Gaby Sanchez – Marlins, Sanchez isn't a flashy rookie that came up admist a ton of hype but that hasn't stopped him from producing. He has hit a very nice .302/ .365/ .467 this season with 9 homeruns. In addition he has played a solid first base with a UZR/150 of 4.6. The Marlins some how just keep finding young players that are able to produce
3) Jason Heyward – Braves, Heyward got all the hype coming out of spring traning that this season has only been eclipsed by Strasmas every four days on ESPN. Heyward has shown that his power is for real hitting 11 homers and hitting for an ISO of .204 while dealing with a thumb injury. Early in the season it looked like he was going to run away with the award but the injury has sapped his numbers significantly and it will be interesting to see if he can return to form when he is activated from the DL after the All-Star break.
The two prominent Giants rookies got a bit of a late call up to be considered for the Mid-Season award but if Buster Posey keeps looking like the second coming of Will Clark and Madison Bumgarner keeps retiring hitters they could certainly get some consideration.

Hey Crab. Good report. All it's going to take for Buster to move up to the top of this list is another week like he had in Milwaukee and Washington. He may not do that in a 10-game span again, but I'd be hard-pressed to say he won't pass the other hitters on this list by the end of August.
