With the trades for Melky Cabrera and Angel Pagan the Giants final roster situation has solidified a little more. In addition the team has confirmed what I suspected already, that they will go into 2012 with a payroll target of $130 million.
There are still quite a few things left to resolve that could change things but as things stand now there is about $5 million left for two smallish players. The Giants have ten guys that are eligible for arbitration that they are likely to offer a contract, the numbers for these guys are a best guess and could end up being quite different if the team makes longer term deals.
In addition there is also two roster spots left that will most likely go to a free agent with the best bet being a bullpen replacement (Andrew Baggarly noted that they are close to bringing back Guillermo Mota on a major league contract) and a utility infielder of some sort. In addition there is always the possibility that one of the guys listed here wont be tendered a contract or will end up in Triple-A Fresno (Yes I am looking at you Brandon Belt).

(UPDATE: It is being reported that the Giants are pretty much maxed out on payroll for next season which is pretty obvious from the above table if they are sticking to the $130 million budget. They are left to chose between Jeff Keppinger [who I didn't include because I didn't think they would tender him a contract and I still think that they will end up trading him] and Mike Fontenot)
